I’m Lee Frankie, and I live by one belief: you don’t need to spend a fortune or go anywhere to feel like you’re on holiday.

I’m a Yorkshire lass through and through. I’ve built a life around homes, hospitality, and the kind of comfort that doesn’t come with a price tag. And somewhere along the way, I figured out how to make your home feel like a holiday every day.

How I Got Here

I didn’t study interior design. I lived it.

I grew up in the hotel trade, waitressing, pulling pints, making beds. Those years taught me something that no design course ever could: beautiful spaces aren’t about money. They’re about attention, intention, and a bit of heart.

I ran my own cleaning business for ten years. I’ve been inside hundreds of homes, and I’ve seen exactly what makes a space feel alive and what makes it feel flat. Spoiler: it’s rarely about the budget.

These days I work in the flooring and interiors industry. Out on the road, into commercial and domestic spaces, seeing what works in the real world. It means when I recommend something for your home, I actually know what I’m talking about.

The blog came out of all of that. Decades of real experience, distilled into something honest and useful for people who want their home to feel special without the debt to match.

Make Memories, Not Credit Card Debt

That’s not just a tagline. It’s something I had to learn the hard way.

I’ve been in debt. Real debt. The kind that sits heavy on your chest at 2am and follows you into every decision. A lot of it came from chasing the idea that happiness needed a price tag. The holidays, the things, the keeping up.

It took me a while to figure out that the moments I actually treasured didn’t cost much at all. A proper Sunday at home. A seasonal table dressed with bits from the garden. The right candle burning on a grey afternoon. The feeling of your own front door closing behind you and everything just… settling.

That’s what this blog is really about. Not because I’ve always had it figured out — but because I didn’t, and I want to save you some of the pain that comes with that.
